Funny, fearless and fiercely honest, Back in the Day dives headfirst into the world of 1990s Glasgow — a time when loyalty was everything, reputations were hard-earned, and the streets could shape your future before you even realised it.
Following a tight-knit “young team” navigating friendship, rivalry and the pull of gang culture, this powerful drama captures the bravado, banter and brotherhood of youth — alongside the harsh realities of postcode wars and the pressures of growing up in a city once labelled the “Murder Capital of Europe.”
Both hilarious and heart-breaking, Back in the Day is a raw, eye-opening journey into identity, belonging and the cost of the choices we make when we’re young and feel invincible.
Performed by our bold and talented youth theatre company (ages 16–25), this production brings urgency, energy and authenticity to a story that still resonates today.
All ticket sales will go towards fundraising for our upcoming trip to the National Festival of Youth Theatre, supporting our young performers.
